The process of a video conference requires some hardware and also some software requirements. This equipment is often high quality, high cost equipment that requires a lot of patience, care, maintenance and careful handling. Some systems are required for this and they can be of two types. These systems are defined in terms of video conferencing hardware equipment. These VTC systems may essentially be categorized into two different and distinct types of systems. For very large rooms or for very large auditorium areas, large VTC systems are used. Being large, they are much more expensive and are also usually non-portable.

For meeting places in companies or organizations, not very large but small VTC equipment is used which can either be portable or it can be non- portable, depending on what type of equipment is required. It is easy to gauge that these are smaller in size and therefore also less expensive than the large systems. For personalized or individual use, portable equipment is required in which cameras are fixed. In such equipment, the console is at equipment which is an integration of the loudspeakers and the microphones, too. Thus, using this technology, video conferences are made possible for all types of consumers.
