Comparing the Efficiency of Consumption by Vaporization and Ingestion

In this article we will compare the various effects of consumption by vaporization, smoking and ingestion on the health. We use various types of herbs for many purposes like drugs, medical remedies, aroma therapy, etc. There are many different ways to consume these herbs. How much you benefit from the herb depends on how you consume it. A majority of people enjoy these herbs by ingestion. Herbal supplements are available in the form of pills, or can be brewed into tea or coffee, or you can simply eat the plant itself. But in this method the active ingredient of the herb has to pass through the complete digestive cycle in which it may get degraded before entering the blood stream. This may not benefit you at all. Also, effects are noticed after a long time which makes it difficult to maintain a proper dosing plan. Ingestion is very safe but inefficient way to consume herbs and medicines.

Vaporizer

On the other hand, you can opt for inhalation of the active compounds from the plant using a vaporizer. It has been designed as a healthier substitute for inhalation by smoking. In vaporization method, the plant is heated to convert the active ingredients into vapor form that can be directly inhaled. The advantage it has over ingestion is that in this the vapors are directly delivered o the blood stream. It is though more time consuming than ingestion but equally safe to use.
